Fall in the midwest is so hit or miss. We postponed this engagement from Wednesday with a hellacious windchill to just 4 days later which was 10 degrees warmer.

We were so worried that it wouldn’t be warm enough for this engagement session. Thankfully, we were dead wrong. Shawnee Mission Park was gorgeous and the perfect temp and color for their fall engagement session. I even have it on good authority that we had the best timing because the tall grass was burned 2 days after this!

Mackenzie is a total sweetheart. You may recognize her cute face from my blog already! She was one of Meghan’s best friends who helped make her wedding amazing and so sweet and fun.

I love getting to connect with close friends and family at weddings because chances are if I vibe with you, I’ll vibe with them. Mackenzie is an adorable Kindergarten teacher with the most precious smile, fiance, and puppy. Scott is also a total sweetheart and they fit so well together. They’re both total goofs who were so sweet stealing kisses between photos and doing whatever they could to keep their pup occupied.

We started by walking the disc golf course and somehow didn’t run up on anyone playing. I thought we’d end up chasing Archer all over the place, but luck was with us. After we sent him back with Scott’s parents, we headed over to a way more crowded section of park that I loved. The sun came out and started to shine and then we popped a bottle of Prosecco! It was an adorable and cozy cuddly time that we were blessed to find mid-November, honestly.

Their wedding is in June at the gorgeous Countryside Chalet and I can’ wait to be there to capture it and see Meghan again! Getting to see my couples again after their wedding is over is my favorite thing.
