In true Kansas City weather fashion, it snowed here Saturday. After rescheduling due to weather twice, we decided we’d had enough. So we packed up our bags and headed to Westside North for engagement photos. We figured if we had endured this long of a misguided winter, we could brave the cold for an hour or so for engagement photos. These two were troopers and through the shivers we just made sure they cuddled a ton. They started by getting a few drinks where their first date should have been, and then we headed out and found some cute spots in the neighborhood.
Westside North has a ton of local shops, including a french breakfast place that Zach swears has delicious crepes, and a local vegetarian restaurant that I almost visited during Restaurant Week once. (Yeah, that’s notable)
Jenny found me while we worked in the same IT space last year for a few months. Word got around the office that I photograph weddings, and Jenny who was already exhausted by wedding planning (can I get an Amen?) asked for some examples of my work and we were booked up just a couple weeks later. Like most people, these two were so nervous before photos! However, you can plainly see it was a misguided fear. If you have chemistry, photos are easy breezy and these two have chemistry. Zach fought tirelessly with the wind against Jenny’s bangs & they were down to try anything. I’m so glad they trusted me as Jenny wasn’t too sold on engagement sessions before, but it really helps put you in the right headspace for your wedding photos!
