I decided a few months ago that a good way to meet up with some fellow photographers and also as a chance to see some of my favorite couples again, I’d set up a meet up at an open spot with a group of photographers. Unfortunately, schedules seemed to collide because at the end of the day we only ended up have three photographers. That’s okay, though! We had three couples so it just gave us individual 1×1 time with a couple and in the end we met up for more photos.
You may notice I’m not in the group photo. That is not be accident. This day I looked like a really fancy garbage bag because I’d been shooting all day in a space where I had to dress a little comfier. With how packed my weekend had been, I hadn’t thought to bring clothes to dress better after. Therefore, I volunteered myself to take the photo instead.
Look how cute everyone is, though! Pictured are also Renee Tay Photography who brought her sweet pup, Miso! Unfortunately, I was completely in awe of the pup the whole time and forgot to grab a photo. She’s got plenty floating around though. Can’t blame her. 10/10 dog award. Next to her are one of my couples from last year! Whitney & Casey who were married at Legacy at Green Hills! The two have settled in KC and when they volunteered to model for us, I was super pumped to spend some more time with them. Next to them are some internet friends I made (it’s how I make 99% of my friends) Named Tish and Nick & they’ve been together for 5 years and are absolutely perfect for one another. Then there’s Breanna & Tim who just got engaged! They’re getting married in Iceland soon so we took some time to get them some engagement photos. Last in line is Kelsey Diane! Most people have seen us together as I second shoot for her quite often and she does the same for me.
This opportunity was so much fun and it really helped jump start my excitement for the season. I have my first wedding this Saturday in Leawood & it’s been such a long winter that I’ve barely gotten out to do anything. I’m so glad the sun has decided to make its way back to us. Slowly but surely.
Check out some other throwbacks to warmer days:
