This Kauffman Center Engagement Session will make you cry, then smile, then wonder who the hell gave these gals the permission to be so cute.

Jamie & Mel reached out to me after finding me on the ‘gram. (Take that, algorithm!) They filled out their couple questionnaire so thoroughly and I can’t even tell you how happy that made my heart. Jamie is all things musical and whimsical while Mel is so analytical and I absolutely love it. The Kauffman Center made perfect sense for their engagement session.

Their session was full of laughter and love and by the end of it, it barely mattered that right before the session Jamie lost all of her cards. The original plan was to head to Up-Down. The whole world loves a good arcade, but when you have no personal IDand look like a precious teenager.. the world has other plans.

We started at Rockhill Grille where these two had their first date. They ordered their favorite cocktail, shared it, and then we headed off to the Kauffman Center. There, we executed a delightful dip-kiss. Finally, we headed to Up-Down only to remember the carding situation. Instead, we walked all around the crossroads. We even ended up in the spot they had their first kiss!

Unknowingly, we had basically taken a tour of the beginning of their relationship and I was honored to be a part of it. It’s rare and super exciting when you photograph a couple that’s so into each other that you barely have to pose. They naturally fall into each other and can’t help but nuzzle and cuddle. That was exactly Jamie and Mel. It was an honor to photograph their engagement session and I am so glad to have made some new friends along the way.
