Alicia and Beth found me via an Instagram ad in 2019. We connected instantly and I loved that Alicia and Beth were both out here saving lives (in the medical field and as a firefighter). We headed to Winterset Park for their engagement session and had a great time playing in the creek that runs through it. Beth had recently hurt her bicep on the job, and somehow was still the biggest trooper I’ve ever seen.
Originally, their wedding was set for June of 2020. We all know how that goes. Ean and I had been married a few months prior with no real honeymoon plans. Alicia and Beth, the amazing women that they are, let us know we were more than welcome to stay at the resort for a few extra days as a little honeymoon of our own.
We luckily were able to get vaccinated right before the wedding so with some nervousness at being out for the first time in almost a year and excitement for a country I’d never traveled to, we met up with the brides for their El Dorado Royale wedding.
The first night they arrived, I’d already been there a couple of days. They saw me running through the resort after finishing an amazing 5 course meal at a dinner theater. We spent the next few evenings together drinking, eating, and planning for their Sunday wedding. The day of was beautiful and you could really tell the resort does this 20+ times per day.
They picked the perfect spot for their vows and everyone had chairs sitting right in the sand. We couldn’t have asked for a better day.
