This Little Piney Lodge wedding is an absolutely gorgeous way to start your day. You can look through these images and pretend you were there in the best way. Little Piney Lodge is a wedding venue in Hermann, Missouri. It’s on several beautiful acres with a lake (complete with rowboat), transportation everywhere by golf cart, and so many cats to pet.

The owners of Little Piney Lodge made sure that everything was beautiful and ready for Katie and Abagail’s arrival. When I got there the day of hte wedding, they told me that the water didn’t have the best color so they dyed the entire thing. Talk about pride in your work.

Katie & Abagail are marines who met through work and fell in love easily through online dating and I’ve never met a couple that was more obviously the ying to each other’s yang. Katie is measured and methodical while Abagail is a party in a jar and always looking to make Katie smile.

Their engagement session was so similar to their wedding and it made me laugh the entire day through. Abagail knew we’d have to work together to get Katie in the boat, and we got there and they lost an oar but god dammit, look how cute everything was! Abagail’s bridesmen and woman were made up of family and her folks in the military. Katie’s side was much of the same.

Their proposal story

Abagail started the day giving me one rose every hour along with a note of something she loved about me. That night we had a cookout with all of our closest friends where she hid behind me and got down on one knee. I later proposed to her too by decorating our apartment with rose petals and surprising her when she got home from work.
