Amazing Kansas City Engagement Locations

Here is a list of some of my favorite and most amazing Kansas City Engagement Session Locations. Kansas City has a whole host of amazing places with beautiful architecture and history behind it.

This blog post will give you a good idea of some of the best styles for your own session!

Kauffman Center of Performing Arts

Kauffman Center is obviously well known for the amazing shows you can watch there, but it’s also a center of architectural glory in Kansas City. The colors there are beautiful and neutral which gives you a wide variety of color palettes. If you turn the corner there is also this adorable wall of greenery. This location is perfect for engagement sessions and as a classy, minimalist place to take your wedding party on your big day!

The Nelson-Atkins Museum

The Nelson is another place that is perfect for weddings (make sure your photographer has a permit!) or an engagement session. There are so many buildings, sculptures, and fun staircases. This is a great place to get ~weird~ with your photos.

Winterset/Charles David Hartman Memorial Park

Winterset Park is perfect for looking like you’re not in the middle of Kansas City if you’re a more outdoorsy couple. We’ll get an amazing few mile hike and you’ll get unique photos. If you’re feeling fiesty, go ahead and get in the water too. I promise it’s super cute.

Nerman Museum

Downtown Overland Park

Downtown Overland Park is one of my favorite places to take engagement photos in Kansas City simply because it’s never very busy. (I mean, just don’t go when the farmer’s market is happening) There are vignettes upon vignettes for beautiful backdrops and you can pop into one of the shops for dinner when you’re done.

Figured out your engagement location but now need to know where to get married? I got you.
