Kansas City is full of creatives,and I am determined to meet and photograph all of them. This past week, I was brought to Samantha and Zach at John’s Greenhouse.

A few months ago, I reminded the internet that I give 1/2 off of photo sessions to fellow professional photographers. Why? That’s easy. As photographers, we suck at getting in front of the camera. I’ve noticed it with myself and all of my friends. Even the ones who are parents. It’s hard to get up the motivation or time. Maybe if someone gave a lil discount as an incentive, it would get people up more.

Sam jumped on the chance and when she messaged me, I realized she was the girlfriend of a high school friend of mine, Zach! Not only that… I realized that together they make their own amazing photography team. If you’re looking for branding photos, look no further. That’s their specialty.

These two met in Westport 5 years ago, felt a spark, and went home and they didn’t even know each other’s names. They’re into crime shows and breweries and are basically the type of couple I’d feel very chill photographing me. I went to high school with Zach and it’s super cool to see him dating someone who seems to compliment him so well! They’re very cuddly and in tune and we all have matching cars so obviously this meeting was destined.

John’s Greenhouse is a historic greenhouse in the middle of a freaking neighborhood and it’s amazing. They have a selection of plants you can purchase and when you go there, it’s appointment only. I know, amazing, right? There’s no need to fight for space! They’re even expanding the space to include an Airbnb soon.
