Last year I photographed Grace’s boudoir photos in a cute downtown Airbnb. I immediately fell in love with her quick wit, quirky personality, & easy going nature. She’s a photographer herself, so it was an honor for her to trust me with these photos. She photographs all the stuff I never could. She also does a great damn job at it! We originally found each other through twitter & over the past year I’ve gotten to live vicariously through her “weekend in photos” series. She’s constantly out here living her best life and I’m totally envious. Through these posts I’ve also gotten to “meet” who she affectionately only refers to as “boyfriend”.
It was immediately easy to see how these two fit. From their in sync and yet still somehow completely random noise making, to their loving giggles and stolen kisses throughout the session. Their first date was a trip to Chicago after meeting at a mutual friend’s epic and annual “Dive Prom” and the rest is history. My partner and I solidified our love for each other by taking an extended and intensive trip early in our relationship as well, so I definitely know how it can either bond or break you as a couple.
We met up in the River Market at the City Market parking lot and walked around the area finding alleys and eventually settled down at the river’s edge where the ice that has been broken up floated along. It made for the most adorable backdrop and for this sudden and warm weather was amazing to see. With a link to so much in the area, you can’t go wrong taking photos there.
If you ever want to just feel pure joy and love eminating from photos, please come back to this session. I know a lot of people claim to be able to “feel the love” in photos, but if you haven’t ever felt this.. I think now is your time.
