I feel like we overlook the concept of client soulmates. Every once in a while, a couple comes along that you instantly click with on 400 levels, and if everyone weren’t busy being busy adults with lives and careers, we’d be inseparable. That’s these two. Theater kids with hearts on their sleeves; their wedding was so emotional, big, and lively.
Getting Ready at White Iron Ridge
White Iron Ridge has the type of getting-ready suites a wedding celebration could ask for. They’re both well lit and are on opposite sides of their grand staircase. It was absolutely perfect for this wedding because both brides could get equal attention with only me as their photographer. We staggered getting ready & then did tearful first looks with their wedding party, parents, & each other at the bottom of their grand staircase.
White Iron Ridge Portraits
Portraits at White Iron Ridge would be perfect in just about any weather because their outdoors is fields and tall grass and their insides are basically big reflection material making everything bright and open and gorgeous. The well-placed florals add pops of whimsy while still letting the giant blank “box/venue” shine.
Plenty of Wedding & Lodge Space
Because the space is so large, you’ve got a wonderful dance floor for the reception & it even has the option of staying over at the venue so you don’t have to feel rushed over the weekend! It’s become one of my favorite venues for exactly that reason. These theater kids turned theater adults had the entire dance floor at their fingertips and you can see that the reception made sure that dance floor was filled at all times. I was so impressed as all photographers know a lot of dance floors can ebb and flow or you can get a reception full of non-dancers. This was not the case. Even the brides’ parents were absolutely killing it on the dance floor.
I took a big break between sharing weddings & realized what a shame it would be if no one ever got to see what an epic night this was so I’m excited to finally share their love and the love of their parents and wedding guests on the blog!
