For the longest time, I knew Bridget without actually knowing Bridget. I worked with her sister-in-law at Cerner where I got to hear second-hand about her budding love story with Jordan. When Hallie Sigwing told me she couldn’t photograph this wedding but wanted me to do so on her behalf, I was absolutely shocked that it turned out to be this woman whose love story I’d been hearing about in the background.
Bridget is a school teacher. You can tell this the minute you meet her. She’s sweet and thoughtful and so energetic. Jordan is very mellow and soft spoken, but everything Bridget does seems to light up his demeanor. They tell the story of falling love over pumpkin picking with such earnest. Their families are so inviting and close to not only their individual families, but already their melded one.
Their day started with many new babies, sibling love, and quiet anticipation. Bridget surprised Jordan by wearing a veil, the one wedding tradition he wanted to see her in. He high-fived his groomsman as she walked down the aisle because he knew he was marrying a complete catch. The reception had fun dancing, DJ booth hangs and even more. It was truly a night to remember and I truly hope that the KC National Golf Club throws more parties like this. It was a sight to behold.
