Downtown KC In-Home Session – Zach + Cecil

Instagram is a great tool for marketing, showing off work, and apparently making friends. It’s how I ended up doing this adorable In-Home Session in downtown KC with these incredible men.

Cecil and Zach run an adorable instagram account that you can find here. Their goal is to show you that not all gay men are fit, white, and insanely beautiful. (I’d argue that they’re just proving that all queer folx are cute as hell, but that’s neither here nor there) It’s a really adorable look into their life that seems almost *too* glamorous, but can confirm. It’s amazing.

They have two amazing cats, one who they swear doesn’t hate me (even though I stepped on his tail), an adorable apartment, & they’re both so amazingly smart and funny. We traded stories about our least proud moments in life, discovered that our anniversaries are *really* close together, and I learned that Zach is a Kardashian.

Zach’s considering going back to school for interior design, & honestly I’m tempted to come back for them and just take some real estate type photos for his portfolio. Everything is amazingly bright, clean, & there’s enough “clutter” to look lived in while also still incredibly neat.

I’m also so blessed that these two decided to do an in-home session after I sent over my photo guide to them. I think everyone who loves their space should be photographed in it. When E and I buy a house, I’m definitely making it a priority. It’s an easy way to get photos of pets you don’t want to bring out, it captures a place you probably spend a lot of time in, and it makes it even more personal and special to you.

I mean, you absolutely do not have to take it from me. Scroll through these images to get just a glimmer of how in love these two obviously are. Maybe even use the instagram trick to make some new friends who also do themed dinners every month. (Yes, really.) It’s a great way to make some amazing people and get images that everyone will love and feel great about.
