First of all, where are all of these Kansas city backyards hiding? Luke’s was absolutely perfect for their second anniversary session.

In my website re-design, my past two sessions of these two are gone! Never fear, I’ll correct that soon, but in the meantime I’ll just tell you a story. A story about how one day, while I was portfolio building, I offered a session to a couple of cuties. They had to bail on the session very last minute so when I put up an SOS on social media, Luke messaged me! He said he’d recently started seeing this great girl and he would reach out to her. If she didn’t think it was weird, they would meet me at the ass crack of dawn and be my models.

It has started a yearly tradition that I genuinely look forward to. It’s a chance to spend time with two of my cutest friends while also celebrating their growth and changes of their relationship. This year, like the previous years, we photographed a couples boudoir session (images coming soon over on Good Bodies!) in their home. After we headed to Luke’s family home which has the most beautiful pond, a ton of acreage, and some construction work that Luke has done himself!

I can’t wait for the chance to photograph them again next year and maybe next time Buck (they’re adorable beagle) will have calmed his running away enough to get his own feature.
