These wonderful women and I met under unfortunate circumstances. I don’t want to dwell on it, but they’re one of the big driving forces of my LGBTQ+ vendor list. They’re also why I’m working on a bigger project that I’ll be announcing in 2020.
These two have the biggest hearts and the most theatrical and wonderful backgrounds. All of their friends were so vibrant and loving. They loved to sing, dance and play instruments. It only made sense that these two were married at the Uptown Theater.
There was a sweets table that was a tradition in their family. There were more cookies and cakes than I could count. Shelby and Emma chose to walk down the aisle separately and then walk up to the stage together. They are the best example of “your day, your way.”
While wedding planning, the three of us (plus my husband) became so close. Their love story was so similar to ours) OkCupid for the win! They have fought for their relationship and were able to make their day exactly what they wanted. It was such an inspiration and all I ever want is a couple who is so caught up in each other that they forget we’re taking photos. That is Shelby and Emma.
They can pose themselves, they can show their hearts, and it’s impossible to take a bad photo.
The most sincere thank you goes out to you two for trusting me, being so accommodating, and throwing the wedding of a lifetime. (Also for having an actor groomsman who will make Rent on stage possible for me.)
